Take a Round Trip without Seeing Any Sights Day

Everything Is From and To

I had a computer programming teacher who would describe programming as "from and to". All the programming that happens inside a computer is really just moving one bit from place A to place B. If you move enough bits from the correct A's to the correct B's, good things happen.

Or bad things, if that's what you want.

Recently, after not a whole lot of thought, I decided that everything - absolutely everything - is from and to.

Think about it (for as long as you want), and I believe you'll agree.

Taking a trip is obviously another instance of from and to. A round trip is two instances.

Today, January 15, is the day to Take a Round Trip without Seeing Any Sights. Seeing the sights implies stopping either along the way or at your destination to examine something special. Don't do that today.

Today the trip itself is the thing. I will actually be making such a trip today...to my parents' house and back.

I wonder what Zeno would think about all this.
