The Meaning of Life May Be All Around You
In case you don't understand why it's the number 42, here's a brief back story.
Douglas Adams wrote a book called The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and several sequels one of which was Life, the Universe, and Everything. The books are hilarious, if you like his style.
In one of them, humans create a ginormous supercomputer called Deep Thought and ask it, "What is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything?"
After an absurd amount of time - 7.5 million years, the computer responds, "42". It then goes on to clarify that, if they aren't satisfied with the answer, they may have asked the wrong question.
Earth was then built as another supercomputer to ask the ultimate, correct question.
I'm mostly going by memory in that explanation, but I think I got the gist of it correct.
So to celebrate Count How Many Times You See 42 Today Day, all you have to do is be on the lookout for that number. I guarantee there are at least 7 instances you can find.
If you find 42 of them, you may be onto something.
