How Much of a Window Do You Look Out Of Anyway?
If you celebrate Wash 1/4 of a Window Day today, things will look just a little bit brighter, especially if the sun is shining where you live.
Actually, the sun is always shining no matter where you live. It's just that sometimes it's on the other side of the Earth and sometimes there are clouds in the way, so you can't see it.
But, yes, I digress.
Today's specialness is one of those for which I do not know the origin. Maybe someone decided that washing 1/4 of a window was better than nothing, and it was all they had time for, so....
I think the real question about washing 1/4 of a window is this: Which quarter of your window of choice should you wash?
If it's a window you look through often, you should pick the section that you normally do look through. That could be the lower left, upper right, center, bottom middle, etc.
Keep in mind too that this doesn't have to be a window in your house. It could be a car window or even a window in the building where you work. (Don't upset the janitorial staff though.)
I don't think it is outside of the spirit of the day to wash more than 1/4 of a window. If you, accidentally or on purpose, end up washing 1/3, 1/2, or even an entire window, no one will complain.
If you know of a window cleaner (e.g. Windex) that really works on car windows - especially the inside - let me know.
