Don't Believe Everything You Read
The citation referenced in Citation Needed Day has nothing to do with the kind you may have received from a policeman - in particular, a traffic officer.
This has to do with the kind of thing you've probably seen at Wikipedia (WDNL). There are many instances in Wikipedia articles where someone has stated an alleged fact, but someone else wants them to prove it by providing a citation - the source of the material they claim is fact.
Sometimes I wonder more about those who want the proof than those who provided the fact. Does every little item need a citation? I don't think so. Some facts are just so obvious that they don't need a footnote for proof.
Moving away from Wikipedia, take a look at Da Unyun*, for example. You can trust everything you read here...don't you?
What proof do you need that Citation Needed Day is a thing? Isn't it obvious just from my mention of it that it's celebrated the world over on April 10?
I mean, if you can't believe Da Unyun, what can you believe? Right? Am I right?
Thank you.
