T'ain't necessarily so.
We hardly ever eat our meals at the dining room table. We tend to eat in the living room or at a restaurant.
I bet we use our dining room table to play board games as often as we use it to eat.
Either way, we're using the dining room chairs. It's just that we don't use them that often. Even playing games we do more often at the game table in the living room.
