Don't Write or Text or Type Anything Day

Don't Let Your Fingers Do the Talking

Obviously, I've already violated the spirit of this day, but it couldn't be helped.

On Don't Write or Textor Type Anything Day, you're supposed to talk the talk. All of your written communication should be verbal instead today.

Instead of writing letters to friends or relatives (which you might not do anyway), you should call them on your phone.

Instead of writing those little reminders to yourself, record them on your tape recorder or equivalent device, since no one owns a tape recorder anymore.

Instead of texting, again, you should use the phone feature of your phone.

Instead of typing (like I'm doing here), once more, use your phone, rather than type-chatting with someone or hold off that blog post until tomorrow. Your readers will understand.

Find something else for your fingers to do today. Use a little imagination. It won't take much.

"Let your fingers do the walking through the Yellow Pages" used to be the catch phrase of the phone company. I bet some people have no idea what that means today.
