Advertising Space over Your Head?
You've probably seen large letters atop a building with a slanted roof at some point in your travels. Most likely it was advertising a product or tourist attraction. It got your attention just long enough, didn't it?
The roof that is used for advertising has to be positioned just right so that people in road vehicles can see what's painted there. Some roofs are too high. Some are at the wrong angle or orientation. Some are made of the wrong material.
I don't think these roofs are meant for anyone other than road travelers. Those is most aircraft probably wouldn't fly close enough to read them.
In many places, today (January 17) it will be too cold to celebrate Paint a Word on Your Roof Day. But for those located in warmer climes, you should head on down to your local hardware or paint store, get some paint (in a contrasting color from your roof) and related equipment, and then head up top.
What word should you paint up there?
I'm sure you can come up with something clever. Since I'm not all that clever most of the time, I'm not even going to make any suggestions. Da Unyun would welcome your clever and witty suggestions that either you intend to use personally or want to make available for others to adorn their roofs.
Let us know what you come up with. And if you're able to take a picture after you're done, let us see it. It would be free advertising on a (potentially) global scale!
