International Divide Everything by 4 Day

It's the Yang for Yesterday's Yin

You get to celebrate International Divide Everything by 4 Day in case you bought 4 cars yesterday and found you didn't have room for them in your garage and/or driveway and/or front lawn.

Notice that there are two things to be a little concerned about today though. First, yesterday was Leap Day. Second, yesterday's celebration was interplanetary in scope, but today's is merely international.

The effects are obvious, but I'll state them anyway.

You can only reverse what you did yesterday every four years - almost. Remember that every 400 years this won't apply.

Dividing everything by 4 today could result in fourths of a lot of things - 1/4 of a piece of toast, 1/4 of a car, a lot of extra time after watching 1/4 of an episode.

Then there's the scope of things. If you are living off-Terra (which is what your home planet is often called in scifi books and which may not be scifi by the time you read this), you don't have to celebrate this special day. It's optional. You can keep your 4 speeders.

I just had an unusual - okay, relatively unusual - thought. Does a quarterback become a fullback today?
