Something You REALLY Don't Need
Yes, this is the counterpart to yesterday's celebration. Now that you've given back what you borrowed, take it one step further and celebrate Lend Something You Don't Need Returned Day.
What you lend cannot be garbage, trashy, broken, or otherwise useless items.
It must be something that the other person could still make use of. It's just that it's of no use to you anymore.
That's not to say that the item has to have great commercial value.
You could lend a pen or a pencil. A piece of paper. A tissue (unused). An apple (unbitten). The proverbial cup of sugar.
You could lend something more esoteric like a hand (not literal...or is it?). An ear. A shoulder.
After you've lent the thing, suggest that the lendee pay it forward, pass it on, or do likewise. You can turn this into a chain reaction. Wouldn't that be kinda cool?
