This Tape Will Self-Destruct
You've heard of recording someone snoring so that you can prove to them later that they actually were making the sound - sometimes very loudly.
Today you can record someone coughing. It won't prove anything, but that's not the point.
The real point here is that you have a recording device and know how to use it. Granted, these days that's not much of a feat. Virtually everyone reading this has a cell phone with a built-in camera with which you can record a coughing person (or animal).
That cell phone isn't really a cell phone first for many people, is it? Some seem to use it more as the mini-computer that it really is first. They use it as a texting machine second and as a voice communicator only a distant third.
There's nothing wrong with that, but maybe we should start calling the devices something other than cell phones.
How about "palmuters"?
I suppose that has about as much of a chance of catching on as Record Someone Coughing Day.
