Because Friends Share
Share Something in the Public Domain Day is easy to celebrate. Quite often I share pictures here that are in the public domain.
Just go to Google Images. (I think that link will work.)
If you're using a browser, click Settings in the lower right corner.
Then click Advanced Search in the popup.
Scroll down to Usage Rights and change it to Free to use or share.
Scroll back up to the search boxes.
Enter a keyword to search on in one of the first two boxes.
Scroll back down and click the Advanced Search button.
Right-click on any image you see in the results.
Click Save As (or the equivalent).
Click Save in the popup window, noting both the name of the file and the location you saved it to on your computer.
Go to Facebook.
Start a new post with something like, "I thought I'd share this with you today on Share Something in the Public Domain Day".
Click the photo icon at the lower left.
In the popup window, navigate to the picture you just saved.
Click Open.
Click Post.
Done! See how easy that was? I don't know why some people have trouble doing such simple tasks on their computers.
