Surprise!
Give Yourself a Surprise Party Day has to be the trickiest day of the year.
You need to do all the planning for the party (which doesn't have to be and probably should not be held today), and then you have to forget about it all before the party happens.
But boy won't you act surprised when it does happen! You'll be almost as surprised as those characters on sitcoms who are supposed to feign surprisedness even after they find out ahead of time that the party is coming.
It's almost always someone who claims they hard surprise parties, isn't it?
Is there any sitcom series, that ran for any significant length of time, that didn't have one of these episodes?
Pretty much every sitcom series looks like every other one after a while, doesn't it? The setting has changed, but the plots stay the same.
I wish someone were bold enough these days to do a live sitcom. There would be no laugh track. That would tell the writers what people really think is funny.
I bet most sitcoms wouldn't last three episodes.
