A Bad Day for a Parade
Rain Day is not the same as scheduling a rain date. Celebrating Rain Day means doing things like walking in the rain (with or without the one you love), drinking a cup of rain, and splashing through puddles caused by the rain.
Of course, it may not rain in your area on this day. You can plan ahead (hoping the weatherperson got it right) and take a (hopefully) short trip to an area where it is raining today.
You don't have to spend the whole day in your rain location. While you're there though, I'm sure the local economy would appreciate your spending a little money in the area.
You probably shouldn't try to do anything electronic in the rain. Water and electricity generally don't play well together. There are exceptions. Let us know if you find them.
If the rain you experience includes thunder and lightning, obviously you have to be a little more careful. Only try golfing or swimming if it's just a plain rain shower.
On the other hand, if you're like me, you enjoy a good lightning display. If there's a lot of lightning, don't stay outside very long. It is acceptable to have the bulk of your celebrating indoors in this case.
Lots of words rhyme with rain.
