Raindrops Keep Hittin' on My Head
Sleet Day is one that probably won't be celebrated every year. Certainly in its inaugural year (2016) it will be too warm in most locales for sleet to happen.
If you have never experienced sleet, let me explain something about it.
It's nasty.
Sun is no problem. Rain flows away. Snow accumulates, but you can sweep or shovel it away.
Sleet, on the other hand, sort of accumulates and then freezes in place making surfaces like roads and windshields unusable until heat is applied.
Perhaps the best way to celebrate Sleet Day is to apply heat to something. Your call as to what that something is.
If you do decide to bring the heat, just don't get it overheated. That could be worse than the sleet.
Here's to hoping you don't go slip slidin' away.
