One Over Your Head Is Preferable
It is entirely coincidental that we just had minor repairs made on the roof of our house yesterday. It makes it easy to celebrate Roof Appreciation Day today.
Our roof had started leaking around the skylight when it rained hard enough or the wind pushed the rain from the "right" direction lately.
It didn't always leak, but it was just often enough to make it a bit of a pain and a tad worrisome.
So a favorite relative, who knows more about such things than we do, bravely climbed atop our roof yesterday and caulked every gap and potential gap he could find.
Hopefully we won't have to test his work until next spring.
Whether your roof leaks or not, you can still appreciate the one over your head.
If you don't have one because you don't need one, appreciate the roofs that others of us use instead.
If you don't have one but really need one, I'm sure there's one around that you can duck under temporarily. I hope you find a more permanent one (if you want it) soon.
