Baby, It's Cold Outside
Many of you probably trimmed the trees and bushes (in addition to your house) with colored lights in preparation for Christmas.
It's tempting to go out and remove those lights now that Christmas Day is past, but don't do it. This is Don't Untrim Outdoor Trees and Bushes Week. You can't celebrate it by doing just the opposite.
If you've already done it, don't bother going out and trimming things again. It's just too late for you this year. Think ahead to next year.
Many people celebrate this week almost by default. They leave their trees and bushes trimmed with lights all year around. They just don't (usually) turn the lights on. This is especially true of those with very large, tall trees that are really tough to decorate.
I wonder what those people do if a string of lights goes bad.
Maybe someone should start an outdoor Christmas lights trimming service.
If I just thought of that now, someone probably already has such a business up and running.
Merry Christmas.
