Oversleep Day

If You Snooze, Will You Lose?

What does it take to celebrate Oversleep Day properly? Obviously you're supposed to oversleep. Oversleeping implies that, when you sleep in longer than usual, you're going to be late for or miss out on something.

The question is: What are you going to miss by oversleeping?

Is it something that you can reschedule? Or is it a one-time event that you'll really wish you hadn't skipped?

Will there be a penalty for oversleeping? Will you be scolded? Will you have to actually pay cash (or not get paid as much cash) because you got up too late?

Most likely you can't purposely oversleep anymore today, January 24, because you didn't know about this special day until now. And that's okay if you ask me because today is Sunday in 2016, and I don't condone missing church. That said, there are other times during the week when you can attend a church service, even if you do oversleep on a Sunday morning.

So mark your calendar for January 24 of next year. It'll be a Tuesday, because 2016 is a leap year.

Depending on what you'll be tardy for or miss, you may also need a decent excuse, so start thinking about that too.

Good luck.
