When Was the Last Time Someone Read to You?
On Read a Book to an Adult Day, you need to find two things: a book and an adult.
The book has to be one with a story. It can't be an instruction booklet or manual. Pamphlets and tracts are right out.
Since the goal is to read the entire book today, you'll probably want to pick something short, like a children's book - and that's fine, even preferable. Wordless picture books are okay, as long as you actually tell the story page by page.
To qualify as an adult, the person you read to must be 18 years old or more and breathing. Awake is preferable but optional. Being able to hear and understand is most important.
Bonus points if you read to more than one adult, either separately or in a group.
If you read to one person at a time, it makes the most sense to sit next to him or her while doing so, so he or she can see the pictures. If you read to a group, try to do it teacher-style by holding the open side of the book towards the group and looking over the top to read the words to them.
If you would report the title of the book you chose to Da Unyun, that would be cool. It would give others more ideas for next time.
