Pleasing Aromas Preferred
On Invent a Smell Day you can either rename the odor of something that already exists, or you can mix several aromas and give it a new name, or you can just make up a smell name for something that doesn't even normally give off any fumes.
I'll try to give an example of each method.
What you normally think of as the fried bacon smell could be renamed something logical like pig strips smell. Or you could call it green carpet smell.
If you mix the odor of cardboard with sunflower seeds and tissue paper, a good name for the aroma might be carfloper. Another possibility is wranglemeister.
Sniff a clock or a watch and say, "Ah, what a lovely timmous fragrance!" Put your nose near the trunk of a car and exclaim, "Bootance! My favorite!"
