Getting What You Called For
It is, of course, fitting that Be Careful What You Commemorate Day falls on 9/11.
This special day is in no way disrespecting the people who were involved on that occasion in 2001.
"Getting what you called for" is a reference to playing Go Fish. When you ask if any opponent has any 3s and they say, "Go fish," and then you draw a card from the pile and you get a 3, that's getting what you called for.
So if it's ever up to you (today) to create a day this is to be commemorated each year in perpetuo, take special care in what you decide to ask people to celebrate.
It's probably best to create something that no one is ever likely to remember, much less celebrate.
If you get just a little creative, you can come up with an idea that is so ridiculous that only you and at most a dozen or so other people ever even hear about. Those people will think it's so silly that they won't tell anyone else, so you won't have to worry about the word "getting out."
In case you were wondering who was going to ask you to develop such a day, let me take care of that for you. I adjure you to create a special day to commemorate today. When you think of one, let us know what it is please.
