Drink from a Bottle Day

Imbibe the Liquid of Your Choice

Now wait. This isn't what you think it is.

Wait. Yes, it is.

Chances are that you already have several bottles containing liquid in your home. Some of them may be plain water, but many of them have a flavored liquid inside.

We're going to briefly discuss the non-water bottles here on Drink from a Bottle Day.

First, in your refrigerator door (and maybe on a shelf too) you might have several containers, such as taco sauce, shrimp sauce, steak sauce, and more. Drinking any of these straight from their bottle is not recommended only because other people might need to use these later.

Second, you could have drinks like soda (aka pop), iced tea (aka lemonade), and other soft drinks. Drinking these stright from the bottle is usually expected.

Finally (and this is the main point of this article that you were expecting when you first got here), you probably have a bottle or three of the hard stuff - brandy, whiskey, vodka, wine, etc. - in a cupboard or special cabinet (if you're hoity toity). Drinking straight from these bottles is only acceptable in public (aka broad daylight).

Have one for me. Take two; they're small.

One more thing: Google felt it was necessary for you to know that today (in 2016) it is Antoni van Leeuwenhoek's 384th birthday. That's just silly. No, that's just stupid. There, I said it. Take that, Google.
